Visit from Land And Survey Department Sabah which comprises of eleven staff, headed by Tuan Haji Safar Untong ( Ketua Penolong Pengarah (Ukur)  to Land and Survey Department Sarawak (Headquarters) was held on 13.08.2008 (Wednesday), at Main Conference Room, Level Four, Menara Pelita.

The ceremony began at 9:00 a.m with opening address as well as briefing by Zaidi Mahdi. After the briefing, LASIS Phase II was demonstrated by the department, led by Lim Khing Chong (ISM), and followed by a question-and-answer session.

The ceremony was continued with a speech by Tuan Haji Safar Untong, Ketua Penolong Pengarah (Ukur), and a briefing carried out by Doria Tai Yun Tyng (Ketua Penolong Pengarah Sistem Maklumat Tanah) regarding land system in Sabah. Exchanging of souvenirs was carried out by both departments and ended with a photography session. Lunch, which was attended by Director of Land and Survey Department (Sarawak), Datu Sudarsono Osman, was held around 12:15 in the afternoon. This visit ended around 1:00 p.m. and continued to Kuching divisional office at 2:30 p.m.
