1. How to Apply?
Write to
respective Superintendent of Lands and Survey where the licence is required.
2. What to submit?
-
All applicant must furnish the following information and particulars:-
-
Full name of applicant or company’s name;
-
A Copy of certificates of registration of company;
-
A copy of Memorandum of Articles and Association;
-
Form 24 & 49 of Company Act 1965;
-
Cadastral plan or map showing the area
applied for.
3. State also :-
-
Purpose for which sand and gravel is extracted (either for sale, own consumption
or specific projects);
-
The estimated volume of sand and gravel to extracted; and
-
The duration of time required for extraction.
4. Other Requirements
-
Applicant to provide registration numbers of tugboats, barges or shovers to be
used for extraction of sand and gravel.

Applicant to provide registration numbers of vehicles and names of drivers if
relevant.
-
Applicant also need to state details and location of area to be used as storage
of sand and gravel.
5. Approval?

of Resource Planning and Management) |
To be referred
to the Ministry of Resource Planning and Management for consideration by
the Minister.

6.
Other Authorities Involved.
All application would also be referred to the following authorities
before they are forwarded to L & S Headquarters for consideration.
-
Controller of Sarawak Rivers Board;
-
Divisional Engineer of Drainage and Irrigation;
-
Director of Marine (in the case of areas on foreshore reserve or open sea);
-
Divisional Engineer of Public Work
Department;
-
Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB); and
-
District Officer of the area.
7. Fees and Royalties.
-
Preparation Fee – RM25.00
-
Annual Licence fee- RM 25.00
-
Royalty – RM1.00 per tonne.
8.
In case of Renewal?
Application for renewal of
licence is to be approved by the Director of Lands and Surveys.
