DEPARTMENTAL EXAMINATION
The New Remuneration Scheme
(Sistem Saraan Baru (SSB)) introduced in 1991 and enforced in 1992
requires employees to undergo Induction Courses and to pass the required
service examinations in order to be confirmed in the service.
Employees are also required to pass special examinations to enable
them to be considered for promotion to higher grade posts.
In addition to the Induction Course Examinations and the Main
Subject (Subjek Utama) Papers conducted by the Jabatan Ketua Menteri,
some posts/scheme of service also require employees to pass the relevant
Departmental Examinations on specific subjects.
In connection with this, the Department organises and conducts
examinations on those specific subjects for the officers concerned in
the various Branches of the Department so that they can be considered
for confirmation and promotion.
Departmental Examinations are conducted twice a year in the months
of May and October.
