1.  Conduct User Requirement Study

  • To carry out requirement study of the application system to be developed.

  • This exercise is an important phase as the users have to define clearly the requirement of the system comprising scope of functionality, data format and expected output from the system such as enquiry and report.

2.  Prepare Design Specification Documents

  • Upon completion of user requirement study, the agreed requirements will be documented in a design specification document.

  • This includes system workflow, file format, screen layout and report layout.

3.  Coding & Programming

  • Once the design specification has been agreed and accepted, system development (coding & programming) begins.

  • The development of application system will be in accordance with the design specification document.

4.  Conduct System Testing

  • This stage is crucial to test whether the application system is being developed in accordance to the agreed user requirements and design specifications document.

  • The testing will expose any error/bugs or shortcomings in the application system and ensure that they are being rectified accordingly.

5.  User Training

  • Before the system can be implemented for live operation, the end-users will have to be trained to use the application system.

  • This is to ensure that they can operate the system to process their daily routine work when Implemented.

6.  Implementation

  • Upon acceptance for the application system and end-users have been trained, it is time for the application system to be implemented for live operation. Meaning, users will process their jobs/core business by using the application system.
