LASIS VERSION I
The first site of LASIS is Land And Survey Kuching Divisional Office. It was launched by YAB Ketua Menteri on the 2nd August 1988.
It was known as LASIS I, running VAX VMS Version 5.3 Operating System on an Integraph 6420 Minicomputer. Application Systems were developed using VAX COBOL, VAX FORTRAN, DMRS (Integraph Database Management and Retrieval System) and IGDS (Intergraph Graphic Design Software).
The implementation of LASIS involved the development of the following major Application System :-
1. Title Registration System - TRS
This system is developed to enable the Department to capture and maintain information pertaining to land applications, land titles data as well as all the instruments affecting the titles.
This system is developed to enable the Department to provide better and faster counter services in revenue collection in relation to land rent, premium, deposit and miscellaneous bills.
3. Survey Computation System - SCS
This system is developed to enable the Department to capture and processing the survey data automatically as well to maintain the data electronically to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
4. Cadastral Mapping System - CMS
This system is developed to enable the Department to capture the map data electronically and to maintain an Intelligent Map Database for GIS purposes.
