Land registration is incorporated under Part VII of the Land Code which practices the principle of the Torrens System.

1.  What is TORRENS SYSTEM ?

"A system of Land Registration devised by Sir Robert Torrens, the first Premier of South Australia and introduced in South Australia in 1858. 

The system is one which provides for the acquisition of title to land and interest in land through the act of registration in the Land Registry Office. It provides for the indefeasibility of title."
