Activities
Public Relation Branch entails a variety of specific functions and activities. The functions and objectives of PRU in this Department are:-
1. OBJECTIVES
-
To disseminate correct information to the public and target groups.
-
To enhance the effectiveness of approach used and expertise in the service and also in dealing on public related issues especially among the front liners.
-
To create public relation specialist while technical field staffs handle their specialized task according to their own field.
-
to promote and enhance the image of the Department and the government.
-
To give explanation in dealing with compensation related issues.
2. FUNCTIONS
-
Identity service fields that needs to be understood by the public and creates strategy for dissemination of accurate information.

Organize specific program to overcome certain issues.
-
Supervise training given staffs to ensure their level of knowledge and capability suits the need of the branch.

Enhance the needs and sources such as staff, tools, finance and office.

Cooperate and work closely with technical section at the Headquarters and Divisional level.

Plan and organize public relation programs hence, supervise or analyze the effectiveness of such program held.

Analyze and supervise the effectiveness.

Reorganize the explanation approach used of re-alienation of land specifically pertaining to:-

Explanation on the importance of why re-alienation of land have to be forced
-
Explanation on the provisions of law.
-
Explanation on the process in re-alienation of land.
-
Explanation on how valuations for payments of compensation are made.
-
Explanation on the rights of land owners.
-
Ensures all approach used are synchronized and of quality.
-
Cultivates the spirits of cooperation and positives values.
