Information System Branch (ISB) is one of the supporting branches in the organization responsible for ICT initiatives and its implementation. ISB is tasked with responsibilities to ensure all ICT projects and activities are managed accordingly.

Client Charter  
  • Hardware and Software Fault Report
    To attend to all fault report within one working day.
  • System Uptime
    To achieve 95% system uptime during working hours.
  • Digital Registration of Land Instruments
    Posting Errors (PE) will be rectified within one working days.
  • LASIS Data Backup
    To perform daily data backup successfully.


(Organization Structure)

  • Strategic planning for ICT development in the Department and formulating of ICT and Security policies and procedures.
  • To plan and manage the implementation of ICT projects in the Department in accordance with the terms and conditions as stipulated in the project agreement.
  • To provide application support and services to users of Land and Survey Information System (LASIS).
  • To maintain daily operation of Land and Survey Information System (LASIS).
  • To manage the yearly ICT Budget for approval by Sarawak Information Technology and Resources Council (SITRC).

Overview of Land and Survey Information System (LASIS)
The development of the Land And Survey Information System (LASIS) was initiated in 1984 when the Chief Minister of Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Taib Mahmud, assigned YB Datuk Dr. George Chan, as the Chairman of the State Computerization Committee to look into computerization in the Land and Survey Department. 

LASIS was officially launched for use in the Land and Survey Department Headquarters and its 11 divisional offices state wide on the 6 April 2010 in Mukah by Yang Amat Berhormat Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak.
