Public Relations UnitPublic Relations Unit
Introduction

Formed on 21 February 2000, the Public Relations Unit is the communication arm of the Department of Lands and Surveys Sarawak, tasked with the core business of communicating the land policy effectively and accurately to its diverse range of stakeholders.

Functions                                       


  • Provide communications assistance for internal events/functions, including coordinating visits to the Department.
  • Organise and coordinate Meet the Customers Day.
  • Media liaison including writing and disseminating press releases/statements.
  • Respond to complaints from Talikhidmat, phone calls, emails and personal visits.
  • Compile the Department’s information kit and annual report.
  • Manage the Department's photo archive and resource centre.

 Objectives                                                                                 

  • To build and maintain the Department’s reputation as an excellent land administration and land management organisation.
  • To articulate clearly and accurately the professional and excellent services of the Department in land administration and management.
  • To establish a proactive relationship and foster goodwill with stakeholders, responsive and receptive to consultation and feedback.
Client Charter
  • Acknowledge receipt of complaint/feedback/inquiry within three days from the date received.
  • Give response or feedback within 7 days from the date received.
  • Issuing a press release within one day if need be.
  • Providing latest and accurate information about the department.
